Berber basket M – SALMA

Salma means peaceful and secure in Arabic – a beautiful name for this colorful Berber basket, where soft pastels meet warm, golden hues and deep contrasts in a vibrant and harmonious pattern.

Handmade by women in Morocco's Atlas Mountains, the basket is woven from natural grass, which is carefully wrapped with wool threads in dusty light blue, delicate mint green, sunny yellow and deep burgundy. The detailed geometric patterns form beautiful diamond shapes and fine graphic lines, inspired by traditional Berber symbols often associated with protection, strength and harmony.

With a height of approximately 20–25 cm and a diameter of 18–22 cm, Salma is ideal for storing small items such as jewelry, keys or other small treasures. The elegant, slightly elongated shape and the tall, pointed lid also make it a decorative design object that adds color, warmth and personality to the interior.
