About Tibladin

A passion for Moroccan craftsmanship

'Small flat stones'

'Tibladin' is a Berber word and means small flat stones. Tibladin called my in-laws my husband's childhood home. For me, it symbolizes the first building blocks of my business.

Unique Moroccan interior

I created Tibladin based on my passion for Moroccan craftsmanship. I have been traveling in Morocco for the past 20 years and have been very interested in Moroccan culture and craftsmanship from the start. I have always had a sense of interior design and love to surround myself with unique things that create a more personal interior design. I want to bring you a piece of Morocco based on my interpretation, and I find and develop products with a fine Moroccan expression, but which go well with the Scandinavian decor.

I am married to a French/Moroccan man and we have a large network in Morocco, which gives me optimal working conditions. I carefully select my suppliers and business partners. Good quality and sustainability – in both materials, production and social economy – are very important parameters for me.

I hope that you will be inspired by my universe.

A little piece of Morocco in the middle of Aarhus

Our store is centrally located on Skt. Knuds Torv, and here we invite you into a unique universe of handmade interiors. At Tibladin, Scandinavian design and Moroccan craftsmanship meet in a beautiful symbiosis that creates a very special atmosphere.

We offer a carefully selected range of Moroccan poufs, lamps, textiles, rugs, glassware and stoneware – all handmade by skilled craftsmen in Morocco. Many of our products are made from natural or recycled materials, meaning that each piece is unique and sustainable. When you shop with us, you also support small artisans and working women in Morocco., and we are proud of that.

Come visit us and experience our world of colors, shapes and stories. We look forward to welcoming you!

We are proud that several media outlets have chosen to write about Tibladin and share our story. You can read about us at, among other places: MigogAarhus and Aarhus Diocese NewspaperWe hope you enjoy reading along.

How Tibladin works with sustainability

It is completely natural for me to think about sustainability in my company, as I also think a lot in my private life about how we can burden the environment as little as possible. I carefully sort my waste, I drive an electric car and I shop organically and sustainably.

When I choose my suppliers, it is important to me that they have a sustainable production, that the materials are natural and as far as possible organic, and that all resources are fully utilized. I look at whether the colors are natural, whether the glaze is non-toxic, etc. Sustainability is many things, and another parameter I select suppliers on is whether they are also socially sustainable. This means that I support local artisans and women's cooperatives, which do a lot to get women to work, so that the standard of living in Moroccan villages improves.

To avoid overconsumption, I order items for home storage in smaller portions and on demand. I deliver poufs without filling, as it is more sustainable to fill your pouf with suitable materials you already have, such as clothes you no longer use, winter duvets, pillows or crumpled newspaper.
