Aya means sign or miracle in Arabic – a beautiful and poetic name that fits perfectly with this characterful Berber basket, where deep, dark shades meet strong and vibrant colors.

The basket is handmade by women in Morocco's Atlas Mountains and woven from natural grass, which is carefully wrapped with wool threads in deep chocolate brown, cobalt blue and fresh lime green. The distinctive geometric patterns form beautiful diamond shapes, where the bright colors stand out clearly against the dark background. The patterns are inspired by traditional Berber symbols, often associated with protection, strength and harmony.

With a height of approximately 20–25 cm and a diameter of 18–22 cm, Aya is ideal for storing small items such as jewelry, keys or other small treasures. The round, full shape and characteristic pointed lid also make it a decorative design object that adds color, warmth and personality to the interior.
