Dihya is the name of a legendary Berber queen from North Africa, who is remembered as a symbol of strength, courage and independence – a beautiful and meaningful name for this colorful Berber basket, where delicate pink meets blue and deep black in an elegant and harmonious play of colors.

The basket is handmade by women in Morocco's Atlas Mountains and woven from natural grass, which is carefully wrapped with woolen threads in soft pink, dusty mid-blue and black. The distinctive geometric patterns form large, symmetrical diamond shapes, where the dark details create a beautiful contrast to the delicate pink shades. The characteristic pointed lid is decorated with fine stripes and graphic details that emphasize the basket's authentic and handmade expression. The patterns are inspired by traditional Berber symbols, often associated with protection, strength and harmony.

With a height of approximately 20–22 cm and a diameter of 18–22 cm, Dihya is ideal for storing small items such as jewelry, keys or other small treasures. The round, full shape and removable pointed lid also make it a decorative design object that adds soft colors, personality and a touch of Moroccan craftsmanship to the interior.

The story behind

I love curves! They can give any room warmth and coziness.

The baskets are handmade and from a family business in Marrakech that specializes in wicker and has been doing it for generations.
