Dounia means world or life in Arabic – a beautiful and poetic name that fits perfectly with this colorful Berber basket, where deep purple hues meet soft light blue and vibrant orange in an exciting and harmonious play of colors.

Handmade by women in Morocco's Atlas Mountains, the basket is woven from natural grass, which is carefully wrapped with wool threads in intense violet purple, dusty light blue and bright orange. The striking geometric patterns form large diamond shapes, where the orange lines highlight the beautiful contrasts between purple and blue. The patterns are inspired by traditional Berber symbols, often associated with protection, strength and harmony.

With a height of approximately 20–25 cm and a diameter of 18–22 cm, Dounia is ideal for storing small items such as jewelry, keys or other small treasures. The round, full shape and characteristic pointed lid also make it a decorative design object that adds color, warmth and a touch of Moroccan craftsmanship to the interior.
