Berber basket M – LATIFA

Latifa means gentle, kind or gentle in Arabic – a beautiful name that fits perfectly with this charming Berber basket, where brown meets warm mustard yellow and soft creamy white in a harmonious and characterful play of colors.

The basket is handmade by women in Morocco's Atlas Mountains and woven from natural grass, which is carefully wrapped with wool threads in deep dark brown, golden mustard yellow and creamy white. The distinctive geometric patterns form large, symmetrical diamond shapes, where the golden and light shades stand out beautifully against the dark background. The characteristic pointed lid is decorated with fine stripes and finished with a discreet dusty blue edge, which adds an exciting contrast. The patterns are inspired by traditional Berber symbols, often associated with protection, strength and harmony.

With a height of approximately 20–25 cm and a diameter of 18–22 cm, Latifa is ideal for storing small items such as jewelry, keys or other small treasures. The round, full shape and removable pointed lid also make it a decorative design object that adds warmth, personality and a touch of Moroccan craftsmanship to the interior.
