Malika means queen in Arabic – a beautiful and majestic name that fits perfectly with this elegant Berber basket, where deep dark gray meets soft creamy white and discreet pink details in a classic and timeless play of colors.

The basket is handmade by women in Morocco's Atlas Mountains and woven from natural grass, which is carefully wrapped with wool threads in dark gray and warm cream white. Along the edge of the pointed lid, delicate pink details are visible, adding a soft and feminine touch to the otherwise graphic expression. The striking geometric patterns form large, symmetrical diamond shapes, where the light shades stand out beautifully against the dark background. The patterns are inspired by traditional Berber symbols, often associated with protection, strength and harmony.

With a height of approximately 20–25 cm and a diameter of 18–22 cm, Malika is ideal for storing small items such as jewelry, keys or other small treasures. The round, full shape and characteristic pointed lid also make it a decorative design object that adds elegance, contrast and a touch of Moroccan craftsmanship to the interior.

The story behind

I love curves! They can give any room warmth and coziness.

The baskets are handmade and from a family business in Marrakech that specializes in wicker and has been doing it for generations.
