Promoting the conditions of Moroccan women

Tibladin works socially and economically with several women's cooperatives to promote women's conditions and improve the living standards of many families. In these cooperatives, schools and kindergartens have been set up so that children can learn while their mothers work. The women possess impressive craftsmanship skills and create beautiful knits, weaves, embroideries and sewing work with great care and precision. The cooperatives work to preserve the old handicraft traditions while at the same time developing new, modern creations. This develops the women's skills and creates a good balance between tradition and innovation.

Support for local communities

Helping Moroccans is one of the main pillars on which Tibladin is built. In honor of my father-in-law, who, through his work in the Moroccan government, focused on developing infrastructure in small villages, projects have been initiated that empower villagers to start businesses that can secure their long-term livelihoods. This commitment to supporting local communities is a foundation that goes hand in hand with Tibladin’s values and mission.

Every time we visit these cooperatives, we are filled with joy and inspiration. It is truly special to witness how the women transform their skilled craftsmanship into beautiful products – all while sitting together, sharing stories and supporting each other in a warm community. Their work is not only a source of income, but also of pride and empowerment.

The visits also take us to the small school and kindergarten, which are an important part of life in the cooperative's immediate area. Here the children spend their days learning and developing in a safe environment. The little faces always light up when we bring new notebooks, pencils and colours to help them with their schooling. It's a reminder of how big a difference even small contributions can make.
