However, I would not recommend putting the glass jars in the dishwasher. They stay looking good by simply being washed with a little soapy water. The metal on the lids will develop some patina over time. You can always polish the metal so it shines again. Here I would recommend that you use half a lemon and a little salt and rub against the metal. Remember to wash it with water afterwards and dry it, then your little glass jar will be completely shiny and nice again. Many also like the more patinated look, and then you just have to leave it as it is.
