The story behind

The classic Moroccan towels get their name from the traditional hammam baths in Morocco, where they are used by visitors as towels and blankets. Hammam baths are a big part of the culture in Morocco. They function as a combined steam bath and public bath. Here you can come in and relax and get a treatment in the steam bath, where the skin is scrubbed with a body scrub and cleaned with real Moroccan hammam soap. You can also get a massage, so you leave relaxed and with a feeling of well-being and luxury. During the treatment, hammam towels will be used here, and with them in your home and as part of your decor, you can therefore bring the Moroccan hammam atmosphere to the Nordics.

The Moroccan hammam towels are all handmade and handwoven in 100% cotton. They ensure high quality and a beautiful design, and it is possible to really appreciate the impressive craftsmanship behind each towel. The carpets / towels are also dyed in a large selection of attractive colours. There are both more subdued and simple versions of the classic Moroccan hammam towel, which is perfect for the clean, Scandinavian home, but you can also get hammam towels in a sea of beautiful, exciting colors and shades. There is something for every taste and style.

A selection of the towels are made in a women's cooperative south of Marrakech. Here, 160 women work with beautiful and traditional Berber crafts. The towels / blankets are made by hand by the women, who through the work can support themselves and their families. The work at the women's cooperative has also improved the standard of living in the small village, and it is a collaboration I find great value in.

In the design phase, we at Tibladin have worked closely with a designer in Marrakech, where the aim has been to combine the unique Moroccan style with Scandinavian simplicity and elegance. The result is a versatile product that can be used both as a bedspread, throw and towel. The hammam blanket is also perfect to take with you to the beach, where you can both lie on it or use it as a nice sarong.

I personally really like textiles in nice, soft colors. A blanket / towel in, for example, bluish colors is also perfect for a trip to the beach, where the towel can be used both to dry oneself, but also to lie on in the sun. The high quality of the towels means that they absorb well, as they are incredibly finely woven. This makes them ideal both for the home, for the holiday and for the beach. We also have towels in different thicknesses, which depends on the weaving method and process.

The hammam towels are also perfect as a small gift - either as a hostess gift or a birthday present for both him and her. They can also be used in the children's room, both as a blanket in beds or to wrap around, which also makes the hammam towels a good maternity or birthday gift for the very little ones.

They dry lightning fast, which is practical when you're going home from training, from the beach or from the swimming pool, so that you don't have to lug around a completely wet and heavy towel.

The towels dry the body very well. To get optimal drying performance, we recommend soaking the towel in ice-cold water for a few hours before washing. start at 30 degrees in the first wash in the machine and then you can wash the towel at 40 degrees. This ensures that the handwoven fibers do not receive too much of a shock and do not contract and you retain the beautiful weave structure.
