This large, beautiful mosque in Casablanca located right by the sea is magnificent and relatively new compared to most others, as it was built in 1993 by Michel Pinseau, a French architect, but construction started back in 1986, so the mosque was built on impressive short time! The story behind the mosque dates back to when the king, Mohammed V, died in 1961. Hassan II ordered a magnificent mosque to be built in his memory, which was to be the most ambitious building ever in Morocco. The mosque's minaret is no less than 210 meters high and is decorated with beautiful green tiles in a classic Moroccan pattern. The roof of the rest of the mosque's buildings is also green. On the walls and around the edge of the The interior is absolutely beautiful, and if you are in Casablanca, the mosque is definitely recommended to visit!

About the artist
The owner of Emu Gallery is the graphic designer Dorota, who lives in Poland. She loves to paint and is inspired by Scandinavian design in her art. She believes in minimalism a lot, and she states on Emu gallery's website: “I believe that you can express a lot with a single line, a clean shape and saturated colors. Her designs are therefore simple and stylish.
